Coogee Beach

Last Easter Break, we went to stay at Coogee Beach. We were supposed to go to Port Stephens again but we had to reconsider as the weather forecast was not good at all for our planned dates. Anyway, I booked a reservation at Adina in Coogee Beach for a one bedroom serviced apartment for 2 nights. It took us an hour to get there and when we got there, the place was really busy as it was still the Easter Monday holiday. Our rooms weren't ready yet when we came so we just had lunch instead. There is a strip of restaurants and shops going to the beach so we just bought chicken and went to the beach to have lunch.
It was a bit sunny then but also a bit chilly as the wind was blowing. We just sat on a bench and had lunch. Caleb was excited to go to the sand and and make sandcastles. He said it was a very big sandpit! After lunch, we came back to the hotel which was around 200 meters from the beach. We were able to check in and unpack. After unpacking we headed back to the beach so Caleb can play on the sand before it got really chilly.
After an hour or so, we went back to the hotel to rest and for me to start dinner. We usually opt to stay in accommodations with kitchens so we can cook and we don't have to go out every time. We let Caleb sleep early as he hadn't had his nap for that day. The next day, I woke up early so I can go to the beach and just meditate. I bought coffee first at a local coffee shop then went to the beach. It was around 7:30 in the morning and the beach was already busy. It was not as busy as the day before, but still busy. A lot of children were already swimming at that time. There were also a lot joggers and people walking their dogs. I just stayed for an hour or so before heading back to cook breakfast. Kenny and Caleb were just waking up when I arrived. At least they didn't miss me that much hehe. After breakfast, we went to the beach again to do sandcastles once more. It was almost noon and I'm getting paranoid that we were out there in the sun. So while Caleb was shovelling sand, I sat there behind him trying to shield him from the sun by using his towel. Typical asian mom I guess.
After that, we went back to the hotel to have lunch. After lunch we went to swim in the hotel's indoor pool. It was great as were the only ones there and the water was warm. We bought a floater for Caleb so he used it as a boat. We had fun. After an hour or so, we headed back to our room so Caleb can have a nap. Then we headed out for dinner. We ate at a Churrasco Brazilian place (eat all you can style). I was so full. I haven't eaten that much in a long time! And good thing we were able to use our Dine N Discover Vouchers so we just paid half the price (which for me was still kind of expensive hehehe). Anyway, after dinner, we went back to the hotel to wind down and sleep. The next day, we were supposed to swim again but as were checking out already, we told Caleb that we'll just do it next time. We checked out around 10:30 am and went home. We were all tired from the trip but it was nice and relaxing and didn't require much travelling. So, til next time!
