Costabella Resort in Mactan Cebu
This is my quick review about our stay in Costabella Resort in Mactan, Cebu. So we stayed at the resort because we visited our grandparents in Cebu and we were only staying for 3 days and 2 nights. There were a lot of choices for resorts in the Mactan area but unfortunately, a lot of them were booked out since it was very near the Sinulog Festival. When I saw Costabella Resort online, I looked at the pictures first and saw that it looked presentable and had buffet breakfast (haha!). So I booked 2 rooms (1 for us and 1 for my brother and my auntie) and hoped my husband won't be disappointed. I think we paid 27K PHP for the whole stay for the 2 rooms. Anyway so on the day, we had lunch first at the airport and headed to the resort. Since our rooms weren't ready yet (we were there around 1 pm), we just left our luggage at the concierge and went to my grandparents house in Mandaue. After that we returned to the resort via Grab. It was a little late and Caleb was super tired, he slept while we were on the way. Since I already did the check in process that afternoon, we just claimed our luggage and someone assisted us to our rooms. It was a large room with two double beds. It had a view of the pool and the sea. We were on the 5 floor so the breeze coming in from the outside was nice too. There was just a major setback. I asked if they can put the beds together since all 3 of us are sleeping in one bed but they said they couldn't. So all of us were squished in one double bed (not very easy when sleeping with a toddler). So I couldn't really say I had a good night's rest haha!
The next morning we had our buffet breakfast. There were a lot of choices, mostly international cuisine. The food was good but I was hoping they would have more Filipino dishes served. Bumawi din naman the next day, mas marami ng Filipino dishes na kasama (danggit, longganisa lugaw etc). After breakfast, we changed into our swimming outfits and headed for the pool. First time ni Caleb mag swimming kaya excited din kame. Malamig ung tubig pero nakapag adjust naman kame after some time. Mostly andun lang kame sa mababaw dahil kay Caleb at nameet din namin ang ibang parents with kids doon. You can use the towels din sa poolside, you don't need to bring your towels from your room. Meron silang 2 malaking pools at magandang dagat pero hindi na kame nakapagswimming sa dagat.
After mga 15 mins (mas matagal pa kame nagbihis), umakyat na kame ulit to change. Caleb had a nap (very long nap, napagod ata) and then we had lunch. We went to the Asian restaurant na malapit din dun sa pool. Masarap naman ung food nila, medyo pricey pero expected naman since resort un. Medyo parang kapresyo na siya ng mga restaurants dito sa Sydney. After we had our lunch nag walking walking kame sa parang boardwalk nila.
After sometime we went back to the room to rest and then we had dinner. I ordered the same thing dun sa Asian restaurant hahaha. The next morning, we ate at the buffet again and went for quick swim. We wanted Caleb to have a nap first kaya nagnap muna sya until mga 12 pm which was the check out time. After we checked out, kumain na muna kame ng lunch and then we were off to the airport.
I can say that we enjoyed our stay in Costabella. It was very, very quick but it was worth the memories na naipon namin as a family. Til next time!
